Can you work as a certified massage therapist in North Dakota or do you need to be licensed?

I'm taking a course in massage therapy but you only get certified. If you do need to be licensed in North Dakota can you just take an exam after being certified???Can you work as a certified massage therapist in North Dakota or do you need to be licensed?
