you are essentially an independant contractor for your services. You typically make 1 dollar per min for a massage. 60 min massage is about 60 dollars a 90 min massage is about is about 100 dollars. you only make as much money as many clients you have come through the door. How much money do you make as a Massage Therapist?
That is not true. You have to pay for expenses, taxes, rent, advertising, websites out of that. You can make as much or as little as you want depending on your commitment and knowledge of business and marketing. There also jobs in the profession or you can start your own business and make more.

I have been in practice for over 4 years. I have built my clientele up by ';word of mouth';. I prefer this as it gives you a more dependable group of people and acts as a filter--bypassing any trouble. Though there are expenses, just like any small business owner you must make financial choices.

I am also thinking about it, thanks for the question. I actually don't know but as far as I know it costs anything from 拢30 upwards %26amp; if you work for yourself which would probably mean going to people's homes %26amp; you'd need to advertise well that is extra costs %26amp; if you work in a salon or health shop I am sure you have to pay a certain amount to them.
Bear in mind it all depends on how many clients you get so you cannot know an exact figure. If I start working as a massage therapist, I'd make sure I work in a health place of some sort (eg gyms %26amp; health spas), that way I don't have to advertise although I might also do home visits for the rich!
