What can a Assistant Physical Therapist do that a Massage Therapist cannot do (or vice versa) with a patient?

In the State of Florida. What can a Assistant Physical Therapist do that a Massage Therapist cannot do (or vice versa) with a patient?
Massage is only a very small part of what a PT does. The primary focus of PT is restoring function...not just by using massage to decrease pain, but also by manual techniques, modalities, stretching, strengthening, education, etc.

Massage therapy is pretty much limited to that. However, if you really want a good massage, go to a massage therapist...as far as massage is concerned, they learn far more techniques for massage than a PT.

...but if you actually want to recover and restore your ability to do things and learn what you can do to help yourself, go to PT.

....and as far as the difference between a PT and a PTA, PTAs cannot perform assessments or make major changes to a program without first consulting the primary PT
