thanksWhat is the salary ranges of an equine physical therapist, equine massage therapist, or an equine sports thrps
When I was still on the racetrack the trainer I worked for used a massage therapist. She was great, I loved what she was able to do with her patients, she made a huge difference. I'm sure she told me she went to a 3 week course in MD or VA, can't remember which. I rubbed a gelding with a very long, weak back. Carol was kind enough to show me how to care for him by just doing his back every 3rd day unless she was coming to work on him before running. Up till that point Normy always trained with the pony because of being so back sore and within a month he was going out with an exercise rider to gallop in the morning. Carol was always in demand and I believe her price range was $100 - $125 for an hours worth of massage, at least that's what she charged on the track, I know she had alot of clients off the track also.
Good luck, I'm sure any of those fields would be very rewarding work!What is the salary ranges of an equine physical therapist, equine massage therapist, or an equine sports thrps
Hi - I'm an equine therapist working in england doing mainly sports massage but I also work with youngsters and horses with behavioural issues. In england we tend to be self-employed and charge on a session by session or hourly basis and to work out what to charge, usually look at what other professionals are charging. I have done a large part of my training with an absolutely fantastic company - please have a look at their website, I can't recommend them enough - www.equinology.com. Good luck - its hard work but immensly enjoyable and rewarding.
equine sports massage therapist makes about $37,170 a year (thats an average) but it is increasing over the next few years.
there is a high demand for a equine physical therapist and they make roughly40,000-60,000 a year.

';';';..Training in this field comes in various forms. There are several centers across North America that offer training on site, and through home study packages and instructional videos.
Certification courses are generally about five days long, not including the required fieldwork. You can take advanced courses, as well.
Many professionals in the field recommend a background in human massage therapy, combined with a solid knowledge of horses.
Consider taking anatomy courses while still in high school, recommends Dee Schreiber, vice-president of marketing at an equine massage therapy school. ';We teach people as if they haven't taken any of these course. But it's a lot harder for those who have no background in horse anatomy.';....';';';
well good luck!
